Kim is the perfect person to be our Infertility consultant having been through infertility herself. Her gynaecological problems started at the age of 18. She suffered from endometriosis and ovarian cysts, later having one ovary and one tube removed. When she married and wanted to start a family IVF was inevitable.
Kim lives in Newlands Cape Town with her teenage twins (son Reid and daughter Heath, now 15), Italian husband Filippo and two cats. Her job is to help and support our Infertility patients through their whole fertility treatment and beyond, often becoming a good friend.
Kim has a BA Fine Arts degree with Honours from Wits University Johannesburg. She worked in the local and international Film and Television industry as a freelance Art Director, Stylist and Props Master for 19 years.
Working freelance gave Kim much freedom, so feeling the need to' Give Back' she worked as a volunteer trauma counsellor for the South African Police. Later through her ongoing connection with the Infertility clinic here in Cape Town, Kim started to support and assist other infertile couples to find their dream family.
When Kim isn't looking after our patients she is a dedicated wife and mother to a very busy household and ‘Hopefully’ is painting in her studio (secretly still hoping to become a famous artist one day!).
