FAQ
How long will I need to be in Cape Town?
This completely depends on what surgery you are having.
Hip, knee replacements around 2 – 3 weeks.
Shoulder replacements around 2 weeks
How can we know what surgery we require?
We will ask you for relevant medical information like scans, X- rays, and medical reports and then the surgeon will let you know what we are looking to do.
If I do not have any medical reports or scans and not seen a doctor, what do I do?
Surgical Bliss can offer a myriad of radiology options. You can come to Cape Town; see the surgeon who will do a clinical examination. He will tell you what he requires. We will them set you up to have the relevant scans, X-rays etc.
Will my South African Surgeon communicate with my doctors at home?
Certainly. Our surgeons are open minded and willing to share your progress. It will also be good to have this communication line for doctor follow ups after you return home.
